Dear Ms Rogers
Re: Customer Service Adviser position at Rosella Bank
Please accept this letter and the accompanying resume as my application for the above position, advertised on seek.com on 8 November 2009.
I am a dynamic and friendly professional with three years experience in the banking and financial industry and am passionate about providing outstanding customer service. I have a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from the University of Andotown, as well as AFSL Tier 2 Accreditation and Insurance Accreditation.
In my current role as Service Adviser at Cockatoo Bank I help solve customers’ banking issues by providing information and advice about their options. I make a point of listening carefully to every customer, repeating their requirements back to them and then outlining clearly the products and services which are applicable to them, guiding them to the option which will best satisfy their needs.
In my previous role as a bank teller at Parrot Bank I also utilised my communication skills, patience, and understanding of banking products and computer systems to assist customers. My impeccable standard of service has been acknowledged by several customer service awards from previous employers. I am comfortable serving customers in Mandarin or Cantonese, or translating for other staff members.
Working effectively as a member of a team is important to me – in my previous positions I worked as an integral part of a team which, together, worked towards common goals and targets. As a ‘people person’, I thrive on this sort of interaction and enjoy being able to help others. I also enjoy coaching new team members and have done so at several different companies.
The social aspect of working in a team is also a big part of my enjoyment and I am Vice President of my work’s social club, which involves developing ideas and organising extracurricular events for staff.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any more information. I look forward to discussing my professional experiences and ideas with you in further detail.
